The course
The Bachelor's course in Media Design Computing leads to a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in a standard period of study of 7 semesters. With this degree, you are ideally prepared to enter professional life or to pursue a Master's degree.
During the first part of your studies, you will learn the basics of computer science and media design and acquire a sound knowledge of mathematics, programming, software engineering, animation and authoring systems. The content of this study phase is weighted 2/3 towards computer science and 1/3 towards media design.
The second study phase is characterised by increasing practical relevance and interdisciplinary characteristics. After you have gained further knowledge in the areas of computer graphics, mobile computing and usability, current questions from application and research are dealt with in practical projects.
During a practical semester or a semester abroad, you can make international contacts or gain insights into the working world and everyday life in a company. You complete your course with a Bachelor's thesis.
