  • Objectives of the course

    The business administration course prepares students for a responsible professional activity in business practice and provides them with the knowledge, skills and methods required for this. Graduates of this degree course are able to independently acquire further knowledge and develop findings beyond their course. On a scientific basis, these can be applied in an application-oriented manner.

  • Course contents

    The Business Administration (BBA) degree course prepares students for a responsible professional career in business practice. The skills required for this, the necessary specialised knowledge and methodological skills are taught in an application-oriented manner. The lecturers pass on their knowledge and know-how so that the students learn to analyse economic systems and structures as well as to plan, implement and review operational activities.

  • Course structure

    The course comprises the acquisition of 210 credits in a standard period of study of 7 semesters and is divided into a first part of course (1st to 3rd semester) and a second part of course (4th to 7th semester).

    Basic subject and methodological competences are taught in the first part of course. In addition, social competence is introduced as a key qualification and business English as a foreign language.

    Students can choose their specialisation in the second part of course. They have the free choice of 3 out of 10 specialisations and 3 out of 29 supplementary modules. Overall, the elective offer consists of a broad spectrum of quantitatively and qualitatively oriented business administration disciplines. In the two compulsory practical phases, students work in a professional field relevant to business administration in order to apply and reflect on theoretically acquired knowledge in business practice.

  • Practical orientation

    The high practical component and seminar-like courses with 20 to 60 students provide the best possible opportunity to qualify for the labour market. This is guaranteed by two practical phases integrated into the curriculum and courses with a high practical orientation, such as projects with companies and regular guest lectures by practitioners. In addition, personal development is supported in the social competence modules. This promotes interdisciplinary thinking and the skills to find solutions in a team - skills that are in high demand in practice.
